Confused about WEEE? Well if you are you’re not alone, it seems that there are a lot of people confused by the new legislation and even more that simply don’t know the first thing about it.
In an effort in trying to combact this lack of knowledge the DTI (Department of Trade and Industry) have announced that they will be holding a series of roadshows in order to educate businesess.
The DTI has small and medium sized businesess in its sights and is looking for individuals from these business classes to attend the free half-day seminars.
There are eleven seminars in total starting on 24th January in London and ending on 21st February in Cardiff. Full details of the seminars are available from this link in Adobe PDF format.
Whether this will be enough to get the notion of the WEEE Directive across to business is very much open to debate with an estimated 60% or more of affected UK businesses unaware of their obligations under the new legislation.
