    Hi
    can anyone tell me if the condenser fan motor should run with the compressor or is there some sensor that controls its switching on and off.The fan is ok but cant get it to run, the f/f seems to be working ok though.

    Hi,

    Usually the condenser fan motor should always run with the compressor.
    It’s function is to cool the compressed gas, with air flow through the fins of the condenser.

    Condensor fan motor is also controlled by an ambient room temperature sensor mounted in the cover of the top freezer hinge. If the appliance is in a cold room then it will not bother switching the fan on. Can’t remember the actual temperature figures but could look them up for you if you need them. 😀

    yes in my experience that always happens so i cant understand why its not starting up unless perhaps there is a fault somewhere on the pcb.
