    What problems will this cause (if any) to the normal working of the fridge.
    The cracks are about 4in long and run horizontally at the bottom half of the door.

    Bacteria is the main problem I would say and possibly a slight temperature loss.

    If you are concerned about the cracks, best solution I can offer is us a hot glue gun and white glue sticks they offer a effective repair to a fridge liner.
    Ive used them myself for this sort of problem and find them very effective.
