This refrigerator is one of the originals which has inspired the SMEG retro range.
The refrigerator is still going strong. The door seal is ok but getting a little tired. Does anybody know where I might get a suitable replacement seal?
The seal is approximately 4m long and 20mm wide. A narrower replacement part made from a modern material may well do the job but I don’t know where I could to get it.

There are “universal” seals available, whether any of them will be suitable is anyones guess! Perhaps a cross section and some measurements would help our spares wizard to identify something to fit.

This is the profile and approximate dimensions:
Hopefully one of those “universal” seals looks something like it. Is there somewhere I can browse some “universal” seals.
I guess it would be best if the replacement seal was a little more than 12mm as 50+ years of compression may have taken its toll. i.e. what I measured may have been a bit squished.
The universal door seals can be a pig to fit, but worth it in this case I’d imagine. They are generally flat-fronted from memory, a more squared profile though.
What you will need is the size of the door and to email Dave at spares@ukwhitegoods.co.uk to find out what’s available and pricing.
