ParticipantHad early discussions with this company and told them I would ‘check them out first on UKW’. I have had no dealings with the people mentioned in the posts but have read the comments.
Would you advise me to steer clear or go for it?April 24, 2006 at 12:33 pm #173836PINKY

Quite low volumes and seem to be still finding there feet but so far pay on time and any little problems get sorted eventually.Put it like this, ther not the best but if they were the worst i’d be a happy man.

Funny that, I log on for the 1st time in a while, and see scrolling at the top of the list, Service Power. I must be psychic.
Pop into the rumour mill via the following link.

Dodgy territory I fancy, but choice is yours.

Seems to be a lot of politics that go with this crowd, but from our experience they are ok.
Closure is online through a not-too-bad web portal, and payment roles in like clockwork.
my advice, listen to the man & give it a try if it sounds ok for you.
most of the calls we get are inspections and that suites us just fine

Hi, was asked to do an inspection job for them about two months ago, sent in report along with my bill never heard anything so last week e-mailed, a chap called Greg e-mailed back within hours to say the person I dealt with had left and after the easter holiday was trying to catch up with back log and could’nt find my invoice, asked me to send another which I did yesterday will let you know outcome.

I’ve handled a couple of hundred jobs for them.
Never had a payment problem and rates are fair.
The trick to them is to use their on-line system and keep on top of it. We do have minor hiccups every so often but a phone call or email tends to sort it out. You can use your own methods of call tracking and invoicing with paper, but that can cause issues at their end.
I would recommend a trial so you can see if it works for you but dont expect great volumes or communications from them.

Re my earlier post, have now been paid. As I live in the glens of Scotland this was a round trip of 64 miles though I fitted in a few other jobs on the way. I charged Servicepower £43:00 for what was a 15 min visit in which the customer had knifed to death her freezer when chipping the ice off. Anyone who is interested in contacting servicepower here is the e-mail.
