KeymasterForums main page> sub menu at the top says “Profile”> click it, adjust the timezone you’re in to GMT or GMT+1 as appropriate.
I really should post this as a sticky, but would people read it or take notice I wonder? 😉

Thanks!!April 26, 2006 at 7:34 am #174028kwatt
KeymasterIt the software Andy, that’s what it defaults to as it’s US written. Just like any MS software defaults to US spelling and there’s no way to change it. 😕
Weird error though, I got that a couple of times last night doing some admin stuff but it appeared to correct itself after a few minutes.

I’m getting it as well in admin but I think I know what’s causing it, Li, the owner of the server has implimented some pretty strict rules to stamp out the review spam it may be that, I’ll ask 🙂

I mentioned it because on my forum, I can set lots of settings like the skin etc in the control panel and wondered if same was true. It’s bizarre that I only just noticed it.
Which reminds me of an amusing (IMHO) bit of grafiti I saw round our way.
It said –
“Notice: If you’ve noticed this notice, you will notice that it isn’t worth noticing.”

KeymasterThe main admin panel does allow me to set the system default but leaves the choice of how the individual sets their own timezone to the individual.

Nice one Dave. Thanks.
Weird thing though, I had to set it to GMT + 1 hour to get the right time.

KeymasterThat’s because we are at GMT+1 as that’s the offset for British Summertime daylight savings. 😉

I thought that, but then thought setting to GMT would automatically follow the actual time in the UK. Fancy having to manually adjust me forum twice a year – it’s bad enough having to alter all me clocks. I let our-lass do the clocks, but she won’t have a clue how to do the forum.

Keymaster😆
I forget it everytime too and one clock in the house is still on winter time. 😉
