I need to know what part I need to order to fix my built in Creda oven model 48243.
Symptoms:
Fan does not function.
Oven does not heat.
Oven light indicator does not light.(The Grill and Hob are OK)
Also would repair be quite simple?- I’m quite practical.
Thanks in anticipation of any help and advice…

Have you checked the timer has not been turned on by mistake ??
if it is not on manual you will get the same problem

Cheers Pat – I will feel soooooo silly if that’s the case..
too much vigerous cleaning maybe.
I have no manual but will try and suss it.
(oven came with house not left by previous owners)I assume the above symptoms are typical to timer set?
Will report back tomorrow…
Pat, out of curiosity – should it be mechanical – would there be one part that would fix the above? (Or are you confident of my impending embarrassment)

I’m Extemely confident that it will be your thorough cleaning that has knocked the timer on.
When the timer is activated you get no oven functions whatsoever, all other functions will be fine including the grill.
Another possibility maybe the oven door switch but far less likely.
You are not the first and definatly wont be the last person that will do it this week, so no need to feel silly.

At last, with the timer reset to manual…. I can get a roast on the go, for Sunday lunch.
