can any one help.i have a ADP8252 dishwasher.when i opened the door i seen that the tablet had not dissoveled,on ringing up the help line they told me it was the thermo on the machine that would need replacing at a cost of £40.but knew that wasnt right because the dood got hot after a wash, when looking at the display on the door i have seen a symbol that looks like “_ l”,if i switch the on/off button on and off it goes to the programme i want then returns to the “l _” symbol then will wash,also if i leave the on/off button in the on postion and open the door then close it the machine will start up by its self and do the next programme up(from 6 to 7).am pretty sure that some soapy water got into the top of the door but carnt be certain, any help would be greatfull.

That would explain the odd symbols and possibly why the dispensor didn’t open if the control PCB got damp. It may be worth leaving it for a couple of days to dry out and try again, hopefully no lasting damage has been done 🙂

thanks dave,but its been left to dry but still does it.the dispenser draw does open.it,s just the tablet wasnt dissolved enough.i think that problem was because it was on a short/cold wash.we have to switch the machine of to stop it doing another wash.any one else had the symbol _l on the diplomat.the after sales people have never seen it.they also say there isnt a reset button.but as the saying goes “dont fix it if it isnt broke”
