I was given a copy of the recent LG training done by JTM, by a well wisher. The material supplied to take away is OK but poor in it’s presentation, great in it’s technical information but at least they tried.
The more you read the info supplied the more apparent it is that these things are far to complex for their own good. They reccommend a “vac” time of at least 40 minutes after acheiving – 1 bar, switching on the compressor whilst vaccing is in progress to aid HP suck down. And their use of Dry Nitrogen whilst brazing is unrealistic and not acheivable without being in a workshop.
All in all, it’s good stuff and will help a non system guy pretty well, therefore….
Full marks to JTM for effort, at least it’s a start.
Mind you, when you remember how LG never write off a product and they are using R134 as well as R600a, and advising that all “open” system work is carried out at 25* centigrade, there’s gonna be some pain around.
