:eeek:
That’s a tough one! Do Hoover/Candy really make machines in this country? All the parts are sent from Italy, and the machines are assembled here; so they still get the Queen’s coat-of-arms on them 😕
I’ve always thought that was a little immoral. Immoral? Comming from Goatboy? 😆
I don’t know what Hotpoint build here, besides those *** aweful tumble dryers, that leave the factory with a few faults on them already 🙁
Both factories in Wales? That’s all from memory, and could be wrong?

As Hoover/Candy are out of the same factory in Merthyr Tydfil its really only two factories now for washing machines with the Hotpoint/Indesit operation in Nth Wales – pretty sad really 😥
For refrigeration its not much better – just the Indesit Peterborough factory and Norfrost/Icetech up in Caithness – I think the old Lec Bognor factory is reduced to commercial stuff only now.
Tumble driers – Crosslee in Halifax and Indesit in Yate
Cooking – Indesit @ Blythe Bridge, Stoves/Belling at prescot and Lux @ Spennymoor
Dont think I’ve missed any

if it says anything other than
“Made in the UK” on the data badge, then it wasn’t
eg
“Country of Destination UK”
“Made in EEC”and you cannot trust any badge on anything to be that of the manufacturers own design and build, most of the cheaper end of the market is now imported.
Beko being the main supplier
China soon
