    advice please…
ive got a hotpoint st55 oven (about 3 yrs old), used it a couple of days ago and noticed it took ages to warm up. used it last night and noticed a section of the grill looks to be corroding. only cleaned it last week, and it was fine?
i assuming the corrosion is causing the oven to warm slowly? can the grill elemnt be replaced easily, and any idea how much for the part. cheers

    Re: hotpoint grill

If the oven is heating slowly it could also be the base element, the oven uses that one along with the outer of the upper element to heat.

Both will need checking for continuity to check which one has failed. Power off if checking yourself :zap: or check the repairs@ link below for an engineer if you’re unsure 🙂
