Ok, so you guys say look for an upper end Bosch D/W … but can you give me Model numbers … I understand that some are made in Germany and that these are better than others made elsewhere … is it just the model that signifys this or is there a code / number to tell me where it was made … need to placate the good lady with the world cup & extra mouth to feed looming so dont want a lemon despite the limited budget !!

Rather than an expensive Bosch, I’d get the Siemens SE25M275

    Maybe around £400ish 😕

Try the Bosch SGS57E22GB or the SGS65L22GB. They are good machines with a two year guarantee.

I have been told that all Bosch dishwashers are made in EU, exactly where Bosch would not tell me. GB`s Siemens are probably made in the same factory 😉

Better still take a look at the Miele G1040 circa £400 with 5 year guarantee till 31st May. Much better machine and German made 😀

If it is of any use, from what I can gather (with Bosch washing machines), the “Logixx” and “Exxcel” ranges are supposed to be German built.

The “Classixx” ranges are apparently Spanish origin.

The lower-end “Exxcel” models may be too…

The Classixx range is made in their Spanish factory from components and tooling imported from their main factories in Germany. Only the cabinet is manufactured locally. Exxcel and Logixx ranges are made both in Germany with many electronic parts imported from their sister factories in Poland, Turkey and Spain!

The Siemens group after all is spread throughout Europe and Asia 😉
