ParticipantCould anyone tell me what 2 flashes on an Indesit W93 means when the dial does the constantly rotating thing please? It occurs at the start of the cycle, even on cold cycles.
I have tried searching the forum, but I’ve not found another post regarding 2 flashes.
The drum doesn’t move at all. Thanks, Chris.

Drive motor not responding, Chris. Can be motor, wiring or electronics in any or all combinations.
Power off if investigating.

Great job, thanks for the info. Sounds like it could be expensive though 🙁
btw, would it not be worth putting a list of the error codes in the faq?
Thanks

Unfortunately the ever helpful Indesit claims copyright on the information, not just the wording…….. so we can’t. We can get away with answering peoples individual queries – my reply to yours is accurate but unrecognisable from the official Indesit info. Great, eh?
We’re supposed to be professional repairers, yet getting any sort of technical information or support from certain (mainly budget end) manufacturers is almost impossible.
Result – the users (the public – you!) are unhappy with the quality of the appliances, we’re unhappy for the same reason and the lack of support and the cost, availibilty and quality of spares. If you replace rubbish with rubbish (even new!), it’s still rubbish. And we’re supposed to guarantee it as well……..
Rant over – if it’s working, go with it, if it looks like an expensive fix bail out. There are far superior appliances out there, for little extra money. The old addage that you get what you pay for has never been so true.

I see. copyleft I say.
Anyway, after taking the motor out it seemed ok and the wiring seemed intact. After pulling the pcb out I noticed the tracks that couple to the plug for the motor were burnt through. So after a little McGyvering with some solid core and solder I’ve managed to rebuild the tracks and all seems well.
Probably caused by people overloading the thing (it’s a shared house). So thanks very much for the pointers.
