I need to purchase a microwave and a ‘traditional’ electric cooker, but as an alternative, I’m very interested in this LG SolarDom light oven:

    http://www.comet.co.uk/comet/html/cache/25_123323.html

I’m thinking about buying this + a portable hob (or maybe a built-in hob, if I can find someone to fit it cheaply).

    Advantages:

    – Overall cost of LG SolarDom + Portable Hob is less than a microwave + cooker.
    – Save a lot of space by not having a cooker.
    – Energy + time saving features of the LG SolarDom.

    Disadvantages:

    – Unsure about the quality of cooking provided by the LG SolarDom.
    – Unsure about the quality of a portable hob (do they get hot enough?).
    – Unsure about the power connection required by the LG SolarDom.

Can anyone please help with some advice on the LG SolarDom? I’ve only been able to find a couple of reviews online (and a lot of PR stuff). Does anyone own one of these LG SolarDom’s? Is it really as good as it sounds? 🙂

    thanks for your help!

They’re brilliant, they run off a 3 pin plug too 😀

Cool – thanks for the info 🙂

I’m going to order one… they reckon it’s “the future of innovative cooking”
