Customer reported fridge is too warm, freezer works fine.
On the display gets a message 22C then ‘FF’ which he said means Frost Free.
I’am thinking more like ‘Fan Fault’.
He has switched of for 48hrs so it’s not ice blocking the fan.
Is this likely to be the fan motor or a PCB fault?
Any help would be apreciated, sick of waisting my time on free estimates so I only go out if I have a good idea of the cause.Re: Hotpoint frost free Mod – 8596
try looking at fridge door switch if the door is misaligned the fan will not run also check green thermistor is working correctly as this controls fan when temp in freezer below -11 hope this helps i had exactly the same fault yesterday regards nige ps mine was door switch 😀
