ParticipantHad 14 service calls last week, 16 calls this week. 18 months ago I was doing 8 calls a day Mon to Fri. Guess its all gone to those money grabbing insurance companies who then give the work to the manufacturers who more often than not provide a poor service. 😥

Nothing quite as drastic for me but I am slightly quieter at the moment. From memory it does slow down at this time of year so not too bothered yet. Chance to get books and paperwork up to date 8O.

Steady now.
We are finding the same, it is only the chargeable that is keeping us bouyant. Insurance work, including CDSL has dropped significantly, as well as warrranty work.
With 6 engineers it is very difficult to keep them gainfully occupied. You can only do so many van stock checks.

we’re pretty quiet at the moment, phone only rang about 8 times today and has been like it all week.Fortunately the jobs that are coming through are profitable.

Strange that, the phones here have been ringing off the wall all week, for both sales and service/spares. Not complaining mind, gotta make hay while the sun shines 😉

when I was an apprentice [a few weeks ago now]an old advisery of ours said in this trade son if someone say’s their busy all the time there lying it’s got to go quiet sometime’s clever old boy that one.enjoy the the breather, get ready for the next rush, be happy 😉 and remember the nature of this trade is to clear call’s as quick and professionaly as poss so you don’t normally get week’s of work left on the go
