Got a call to an 18 month old Ariston Margherita.
Drum not turning. Does anyone know if there is a common fault on these washers, modual, motor dodgy harnes or brushes.

It could be an Indesit based machine or a Hotpoint WMA clone.
Common faults are just about everything on the Indesit derivative and the only tip that really matters is the one it will be on in a very short space of time. 😥
The Indesit in Ariston garb will generate an error code when faulty, the control knob should start to click round and the mains neon will flash a set number of times then pause, then flash the same number again and so on.
These codes are not infallible but they are the best thing we have and are listed in the Known Error Codes thread.
