On demand enterprise resource planning application company NetSuite is now available on mobile devices such as BlackBerry, Windows Mobile and Palm Treo after third party developments.

The company is claiming a first in having an on demand or software as a service solution (SaaS)aimed at all mobile workers including service engineers and not just sales and executive management. Three developers, Antenna Software, Explore Mobile and iEnterprises have used NetSuite’s SuiteFlex development and integration platform to extend the application to include applications such as customer support and service, accounts receivable, quote and order management and closing transactions and sales.

“˜With NetSuite now on mobile devices, users can have access to key data in real-time and from everywhere to run their business as usual while away from the office,’ said Zach Nelson, chief executive of NetSuite. “˜Now not only can you take the order, but you can take it while on the customer site, or even on the golf course.’

One of the partners, Antenna Software, has introduced AMPower for NetSuite, a mobile solution to give users access and update essential customer and order information in real-time from the NetSuite system from different devices. Allowing, for example, service representatives to create quotes and orders, and view and edit customer records, opportunities, contacts, events and tasks.

“˜More companies are embracing mobility as an integral part of their CRM solution right from the start,’ said Jim Hemmer, chief executive and president of Antenna Software. “˜The beauty of our partnership with NetSuite – and the seamless integration between our technologies – is that it offers NetSuite customers a quick, straightforward and cost-effective way to mobilise their CRM applications so they can hit the ground running.’
