EPROM

    I feel abit thick here but after doing this job for 24 years I keep reading about eproms but haven’t the faintest idea what they are.
    Can you help?

    Hi Robbra,

    the eprom is the programable part of the pcb it holds the instuctions for the microprosser,in the case of a washing machine the wash sequences, as for what an eprom is try the link below.

    On a circuit board it is the small black chip that has several ‘legs’ each side. It is programmed by software to provide the various functional commands required (e.g. a wash cycle)…..HTH 🙂
