called today. start machine on any programme and motor starts to impulse, stops and inpulses again….nothing else happens…
pre wash ligh is flashing, can anyone help !!!
have checked motor brushes ok.Thanks john

What do you mean by impulse John? Do you mean the motor tries to turn? How does the motor megger out I wonder? Pre-wash light flashing often means a pump/drain problem, is that OK?

Martin, the motor goes into a fast spin for a few seconds, does not build up speed,then stops and repeats, pump works fine, havent meggered motor, but removed brushes,one brush was jamed in holder, I filed brush down and refitted. thats about it. John

:lesson: Pre wash lamp flashing does not necessarily mean pump/drain. To determine the fault John, you will need to count the amount of times the pre wash lamp flashes. I would put money on 5 flashes – motor turning uncontrollably. If tacho checks out I would be looking at new module 096381 @ £149.35 +VAT BSH pricing.
