ParticipantI have a Prima LPR600 that is not emptying, (went faulty on rinse cycle). The code light is flashing 4 times. I can get the cycle to start but it stops with the first emptying attempt. I have had the covers off and can see no leaks or find no blockages. The number on the side is 854560015810. I installed this about two years ago and it has worked fine till now.

Hi,
can u hear the drain pump running?
If so, it probably is a blockage somewhere. Check the plumbing where the drain hose connects. Is it possible that grease or food waste has been poured down the sink and blocked the drain hose?May 27, 2006 at 11:38 am #177588paretoman

Tested drain pump motor and it is working fine. Checked float switch and this is OK. Put back in situ and the unit is giving same 4 flash code but now there is no water coming in to washer?. Could this be the real fault?.

Could be a faulty or clogged Water Indicator. If you remove all filters and look inside sump in the 3’oclock position you will see a round unit (Water Indicator) check if its not clogged or covered in gunge.

When i turn the washer on the drain motor is constantly running. I have had the water switch out and checked it and the micro switch is working fine. There is also no clogging of the switch mechanism.
The input solenoid valve coil is working (valve is sealed unit so cannot see this working) and so is the main pump (all tested independantly).
I am still thinking that the unit is stuck in drain mode and that the main card is faulty. Anyone got any ideas?May 27, 2006 at 6:14 pm #177591gegsy

I would seriously consider WI replacement before going for PCB.
Have you also cancelled the programme by holding the “Start” button in for a few seconds and then closing the door till it ends?? and then tried a programme again?Greg

By “start button” i presume you mean the button you press after the “on” button to start the programme?. If so the answer is “Yes”.

Hi
WI or the WATER INDICATOR, has been mentioned previously, silly me for assumption 🙄
Our information is given feely so your rudeness confuses me slightly.
Im glad you have ascertained the “Start” button though 😉Greg

Sorry if i appeared rude. It was meant to be light humour.
I presume the WI switch is the micro switch with the diaphram operating mechanism. i have had this out and checked it. If i fill the sump with water should it operate?June 15, 2006 at 11:10 am #177596paretoman
ParticipantRe: Prima LPR600
After testing everything on the unit and finding no fault i decided to order a control card.
Having arrived and fitted this the machine turns on but i now get a constant flashing error signal (no gaps) and it will not do anything else.
The old card had a positive mechanical click when i pressed the buttons on the control card and i notice the new card does not?
Any ideas?
Am i missing something?June 15, 2006 at 6:13 pm #177597gegsy
ParticipantRe: Prima LPR600
Remove card and re check that you have lined the buttons up correctly.
You should hear and feel a definate click when you press the start button.
Re check all the connections aswell.
If you get continuous flashing ie 1 flash 1 sec pause 1 flash etc usually means that the NTC is faulty.Greg
Power off before attempting any of the above :plug:
