    Washing machine stops after filling and will not agitate, it will empty when on rinse cycle but not spin?

    I followed instructions for diagnostics and came up with the following error code 10000010.

    However after getting the error code machine will not power off, instead all wash cycles leds flash and then remain on. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

    It’s a problem with the Rotor Position Sensor on the motor. Normally it’s dodgy/corroded wiring and connectors, although the sensor can fail. Possibly motor board, but this is very rare.

    Thanks, that sounds expensive is it best to call someone to fix this or can I safely have a go at repairs myslef without risk of futher damage?

    It seems the machine will not fill with water now so the problems seem to be increasing.

    Nothing wrong with having a peek underneath (with the power off) – however, if you don’t know what you’re looking for, you may not achieve much! I can’t advise on prices I’m afraid – I’m half a world away. It’s not a major electrical component, so unlikely to be that expensive; also, it’s usually a repair rather than replace job.

    I have managed to locate a Smart Drive Washing Machine parts manual, complete with location and diagram of offending part. So tonight I will take on the washing machine…..

    This is a great site however I do hope that I don’t have to come back and visit again too soon. Thank you for all your help.
