    Hi there

We have a Whirlpool (for IKEA) DWF 406 diswasher it is about 4 1/2 years old. The problem is that the cleaning arms have stopped spinning and so the dishes aren’t being cleaned as well. I have taken the arms off and made sure there are no blockages the removeable filters are also clean. Otherwise the dishwasher fills, heats the water, passes through the different stages and drains OK. Any suggestions gratefully received.
    Thanks

Sounds like no circulation – can you hear a faint humming noise after the fill stage has stopped? Pump may be jammed, seized or not getting a kick from the start/run capacitor.

Awkward one to work on; engineer might be your easiest solution – click the link below. Power off and mind the sharp edges if investigating further.

Thanks for the advice. There was a slight humming noise but I think the circulation pump may have just been temporarily jammed as it appears to be working fine again now with no undue noises!

    Your help was greatly appreciated.
