    ignition spark stays on after customer has turned on any of the control knobs,
    does this sound like the ignition unit ??

    not been to this yet ; its a freind of a freind etc, not over familiar with siemens hobs, but cant think of what else it might be..

    It’s normally the bar that operates the microswitch, it’s common to all the knobs and gets a bit “bent” 😉

    Apply some silicone grease to all the moving parts of the ignition bar, that should sort the problem 😀 .
