ParticipantHi all,
Just been to the above for bearings/spider and an E15 code.
Did bearings and cleared the pump(full of rubbish), put on spin and it drained fine. Customer now come back to say after a service wash its showing E15 again and won’t spin.
Pressure pot is clear and p/sw seems ok. Is there a need to clear a previous fault code? I can’t see anything in he sticky
Thanks

I did megger the heater and it’s ok ( 21 OHMS) and heats the water but it was wrapped with an old sock so could have been damaged but not by the drum.
Am going back tomorrow so will try a new on. Incidentally, would it also cause it not to fill properly as customer has come back since first post?
Thanks

Ah, but that is its continuity resistence, what of its insulation reading (megohms) I wonder?

well I went back and you were both dead right. The heater cured it and double points to Martin. Not sure what I was on but must have messed up the test. My only excuse is nearly 3 hours of trying to get the old bearing shells out in a small kitchen did my brain in but why E 13 when it wasn’t anything to do with pumping out?
Thanks again

Many thanks for your confession my son, go in peace! :lesson:
(Psssst! Don’t tell anyone, but last Saturday I fitted a Door Boot to a WD72. Last night I got an angry phone call from the customer to say the door boot had come adrift from the drum and the water flooded her kitchen. Oh dear! 😳
I went back this morning and re-fitted it, guessing that I must have over-tightened the wire clamp ring?….Doh! 😳 )
