    Hi, can anybody help please. Hygena ApPL8214/2 working fine but water not heating. Heating element at base not smooth in one part so is this a sign it is burnt out or is it NTC at fault. Could anyone tell me where NTC is housed.

    This is a Brandt built d/w. Replacement element is p/no 31X6062, around £30 from memory. It should be smooth and unbuckled – the only way to be certain of its condition is to perform an impedence test with a test meter – with the power off, of course.

    This machine does not employ an NTC device, rather fixed thermostats, which are generally extremely reliable.
