Had one of these today that after washing a pair of trainers machine over sudsed and went off. From what i can gather foam was coming out soap drawer. Haven’t done much with washers for a while but it was family so popped in to check it out. What it does is after power off then on at socket, when you select program relevent lights come on then after few sconds relay on board clicks all lights go out machine does nothing door lock does not activate. Did visual check not blown tracks. But what are the chances that water or foam has got onto motor, pump conectors and caused board fault? Also sometimes if you turn selector or and then back to program the light will flash on. Any advise or opinion would be great (apart from the obvious washing trainers!!!)
    Thanks in advance

One pair of trainers + oversudsing? Hardly possible unless user went mad with the detergent packet! However, the fault since this occurence sounds as though it has caused module failure for sure.

The sump hose/pressure chamber need inspecting for blockages and the usual check for water damage to motor of course.

Always replace the door interlock with a new module is a good ‘rule of thumb’ with these machines 😉

Thank Martin for reply. One thing i forgot to mention was that there was water in tub to just above bottom of door seal so dont think it overfilled. Did give the motor and pump quick check and no obvios signs of damage. As for oversudsing thats what i thought , but its for a cousin who was given one job to do by his mrs and anything is possible as i think he was dabbling with the unkown. Who knows how much powder he used?
As this is family and no money to be made does any one know the rough price of board & door lock.
    Cheers

Got module from EMW (phone no 0115 9652118) the other day for £41 recon with 12mth waranty – brill they even configered the board so it was straight swap.. just return the old one 😀

Sorry to drag this one back up but eventually got back to this one today as they’ve been on hioliday. Fitted board from EMW machine now starts, will fill, tumble heat etc. but will not drain. When set to spin just keeps tumbling but if you drop outlet hose down and let water run out in reconises drop in water level and will spin and finish cycle.
Can anyone please confirm the 2 wire conections on PCB as although they claim they were never touched i’m not so sure.
    2 reds are on x2
blue & black pump on x6
2 blacks pressure switch on x9
x11 empty although looks like scratch marks on conector that makes me wonder.
Also did meter pump from PCB conector & also at pump tested ok.
Any help or advise would be a help otherwise its change phone number and move
    Thanks agsin in advance

Should be something on X11. Blue & Black to pump.

From the left looking down on the board. Bottom edge connections are,
X4 small 4 tag link to variable contols ‘if fitted’
    X2 two reds to thermistor
    X9 two black to p/switch
    X11 blue black to pump
    X5 6 pin connector
    X1 10 pin connector
