have got a dedetrich ( cant spell it ) dw vz 999u1/2
door springs gone and door hinges bent where can i get the spaers from

have not pulled it out is there a common part that makes the springs fail ie is their a connector part or will the springs have snapped
CDSL are doing the spares now for Brandt, have oxygen handy when you get the prices. 😉
Masterpart also do quite a few and they’re well worth a try.
On that range (IIRC) the door is tensioned with nylon bands with plastic ends, not expensive (or they weren’t) and dead easy to replace although you do really need the sides off to do them.
The hinges I never had bending, cabinets I did. When the door slams down the force twists the cabinet especially if there’s a real heavy furniture door on them and warps it slighly, just enough to give a little leak.

just assumed the hinges had bent this has bent so much door wont close
if it is the cab will it be scrap or is it fixable ?

I had quite a few doing that and after attempting several replacement hinge jobs I gave up. Oh and to replace the hinges is a sod of a job too, just to add insult to injury.
