Ordered a new pcb module for a hca300fk (hoover) frostfree as our fridge was freezing everything and the freezer was at -30. However the new part does not seem to start the compressor and the part number on the new pcb is different to the old part. I think new part has replaced the old part but it just doesn’t seem to send the signal to start the compressor. ANY IDEAS?

    hi ianforrest,

how long did you leave the appliance switched on, as it can take up to 40mins to restart the compressor after switch on if the evaporator is still frozen, as the appliance enters a defrost cycle at start up.

We have been running the fridge on a timer since the fault occured. So I would think the evaporator would be ok. I only tried it for 5mins tops. Our cycle is on for 4hrs off for 2hrs. But I could try leaving the new pcb in for 40mins.
