MFI Larder Fridge-Is it ok-will it smell like a drain?

Exactly the same as another poster on here,my MFI larder fridge was getting a pool of water gathering in the bottom.Advice over the phone from a non mfi engineer said to clear the drain hole which was probably blocked.Looked for the drain hole and found it didnt exist-manufacturers had forgotten to put it in.This engineer said that the water drains out into the insulating material underneath which is between two layers of plastic,and evaporates,but he thought after about six months it was likely to start smelling like a drain.What do you think.MFI have come out and drilled the hole-is this design still being sold?I am told the fridge is Servis.
