ParticipantHello
Please could someone help me ?
The safety glass on the front of my Zanussi ZSA 10 built in oven has fallen out.The handle on the top of the oven door was was loose causing the glass to fall out.
I have tightend the handle back up, but now I cannot fit the safety glass back into the door. I think I need to unscrew the retaining fitting at the bottom of the oven door.
The door pulls downwards this stops me from accessing the screws to undo the retaining fitting, I cannot work out how to fit the glass back into the door.thanks Colin

If you follow the users instruction book on how to remove the whole door assy with hinges, it will all become obvious.
The door is designed to be taken off by the user for easy access to the rear of the oven for cleaning.

There are no instructions in the user manual on how to take the door off.

1) Open door fully, twist the 2 discs on the hinges clockwise as far as they will go with a 20p coin. If you twist the wrong way, the door will still come out, but will be a pig to get back.
2) Attempt to close the door and you will feel resistance and the door sill be trying to let go at the bottom. Go to instruction 3, don’t be hasty.
3) Hold the door at the 2 sides at approx half way & attempt to lift up and out at the same time, the hinges will then release. Don’t force it.
That is it, put the door onto a worktop & do what you have to do.
Reverse the procedure, refit the door and tease the floppy lower retainers into the acceptors in the frame. Do that by putting your fingers under the door and lifting the lower hinge bits back into the acceptors.
Drop the door to the fully open position, and release the discs with the coin.
Finally, sit down & have a coffee.
