ParticipantGOT AN ZANUSSI FJR1545W WHEN I PROGRAM IT NO MATTER WHAT SETTING ALL I GET after i press start is the display turns to 3 then the machine pumps the drum rotates for a second or two then after about 3 mins it stops with the door locked and remians that way for another few minutes till it opens entered diag mode and got e84??

E84 is the triac on the main PCB that controls the circulation pump at fault.
New board is the only solution according to the tech info 🙁
Unless you can trace the triac back of course 😉

Cant seem to find a faulty triac all the ones i have cheched seem to be fine any hints on where it is?

If you trace back the connection from the wash pump to the board, I think you will find the Triac terminates at terminal J1-1) ❓

ta lads but have now replaced the triac at j1 1 and still the same thing machine programs then when start is pressed the countdown timer says 3 mins and if i check diagnostic it tells me e84??

Replacing the PCB seems the only option then 🙁

I too had a similar problem,, like funky says CHECK recirc pump. The one I went too had windings shorted with burn marks on its cover.

THE RECIRC PUMP looks fine and i can hear a pump running i have not binned it yet cos i really wanna solve this one so i will give it another bash i will check the pump but it will probably be weds before i get the chance
any more ideas in the mean time woulld be great and if i i fix it i will let you know:) -
