I have a 4-5 yr old XL1200. During the rinse cycle water leaks and emerges from underneath.

Is there a common cause? Or a series of checks I should follow to determine the source?

    Any help welcomed.

    Hi

Check your drain pipe behind machine, is it connected to a stand pipe or goes to a spout on the sink trap. if a stand pipe make sure there are no blockages and water is not coming back up the pipe and overflowing.

Thanks Mike. I just checked out the drain pipe that seems OK. I pulled the machine out and found the floor around the drain area to be dry and the mid to front area that the machine occupies to be wet. Turned machine on its side and found limescale build up around the centre hole in the base plate. This suggests to me a leak from pipe work or seals within. I guess I’ll have to take the fromt off and see if I can trace the leak. Maybe more limescale traces.
