    I am currently looking for a new washing machine to replace my rather abused hoover washer dryer.

    I have narrowed my choices down to two machines Zanussi and LG

    The Zanussi:
    ZWF1437
    Energy A+
    Wash A
    Spin B
    Spin 1400
    7kg capacity
    £285 inc delivery

    The LG
    WM1220FD
    Energy A+
    Wash A
    Spin A
    Spin 1200 (surely it cant be A if its only 1200)
    7.5kg capacity
    Direct Drive (no belts to break)
    £304.71 inc delivery

    Do I pay the extra for a slower spin but higher capacity, or stick with a more “heard of” brand?

    Can any one advise me on this?

    Out of those two dan I would go with the Zanussi. Personally though I would recommend the Bosch range of machines as the build is better, they have a two year guarantee and the service is good too. Slighlt less in capacity I know but a better machine 😉 . Have a look at the WAE24162 1200 spin or the WAE28162 which is the 1400 version. Price wise there is not a lot of difference and are in the price range you are looking at.

    The Zanussi has marginally better reliability that the LG but like Don would suggest you look at a Bosch too
