ParticipantI am trying to get a smartdrive going using some recycled electronics. The motor controllor and display panel are the yellowy coloured ones. When start/pause is pressed, it beeps and only final wash (short) light and final swpin light show. I believe this is a size switch error.
How do I set size switch correctly?June 26, 2006 at 11:41 pm #180088Penguin45

You’re going to have to give me more here……… A yellow board only fits 508/608/708/058/085 machines – what’s yours? It may not be a compatible component.
The “size error” is extensively discussed in this forum – a search will show plenty of results.

I got size set ok after referring to other info found in oz section.
Thanks for that.
How do I clear the fault from memory so it does not show again if diagnostic procedure is done again.
I presume if there is no other fault that no lights will show?Regards

You don’t need to clear anything – bear in mind that the board can remember the last fault for a while, even if you have repaired it. Get some laundry run and check diagnostics again in a week or so. If the wash light board is clear, there’s nothing to worry about.

The machine is doing the washes ok except for one thing that I notice, it does not seem to be getting up to full revs on the spin like it used to. There is no fast spin.
When it is well into the final spin if I take spin speed down from Fast where I usually have it set, to Med the machine does not slow but if I go down from Med to Slow then it slows.
When I go up from Slow to Med it speeds up again but when I go from Med to Fast there is no speed change.
What do I do to get Fast spin back again? I did see one thing about water temperatures in another posting but have tried it on different temperature setting but still does same.
ThanksRegards

You still haven’t answered the original question – what have you put the board into? There are compatibility issues between the various model ranges and board types, as I said in answer to your first post.
