    Does anyone know the thread or connector size for the water pipe inlet on a Samsung RS21DCSV1 Side-By-Side

    We’ve had a guy come to us locally (we sell water filters including fridge filter), and he bought the fridge second hand without any water connection kit. Whilst we do the saddle valves, tubing and cartridges we are unsure of the actual connection to the fridge since from his description it doesn’t sound like a push fit or a 3/4″ connection.

    From what he has described (he was a bit vague) it sounds like a small compression fitting, if so, is it like the one used on the cartridges or do Samsung use a different one at the fridge end of the pipe?

    It may be worth downloading the user manual from the Samsung website, the installation info is probably in there 🙂

    Thanks – I’ve checked the manuals and can see it’s a compression nut (hexagonal looking thing), but they don’t give any info on the part. It *looks* the same as the cartridge nuts, but it would be great if someone could confirm if that’s the case or not.

    We have the RS21JLSG in stock at the moment. If you like I can bring my camera in tomorrow and post picture of the fitting if it helps.

    Thanks for the offer – we’ve got a picture, it’s just not very clear. If you could post something which shows the connector close up that would be great.

    A photograph of the nut would also be greatly appreciated!
