😕 we have called out to a customer who has washed some towels on a 40 oC cottens program. before they went in they were nice and fluffy, now after the wash they have come out feeling rough and hard. she has a bosch 1200 spin washer and saya she uses correct amount of powders and conditioner.
    thanks Jose

Is she using the right amount for the hardness of water in her area as well as the soil level ? Common mistake … Water hardness testing strips available from all good fishing tackle & tropical fish outlets … just a thought …

Washing them is one thing but restoring them back to ‘soft and fluffy’ will likely require tumble drying to ‘relax’ the fibres back to where they where originally. Using the old fashioned washing line method to dry modern fibres is not recommended!

    Jose,

Did the customer really contact you for this ‘fault’?!! 😯

And you believed them when they said they use the correct amounts of soap and conditioner?!! 😛

One would ask about the age/quality of the towels as that could make a heck of a difference.

Also, I ‘ve rarely come across a ready-for-washing towel that was ‘nice and fluffy’.

    Good luck.
