ParticipantNeff fan oven, half moon element gone phut but I can’t remove 2 of the 4 pozi screws holding the heater plate on!!!!
I’ve soaked the screw and plate with WD40 and said I will call back on Friday and try and shift them??
The screws are pretty rusted in and looking the worst for wear having made several failed attempts with various screwdrivers to get them off!
(I hate these darned ovens at the best, getting the fan off to access the screw behind will be the next joke IF I can get the bloody panel off? 👿 )
Any thoughts guys? 😀

If they’re accessible, have you tried drilling the screw heads off?

The last Neff oven that I worked on had the same problems. I ended up grinding the screw heads off with my Dremmel!
The fan can be a bastard too. Take the motor to bits from the back. With a bit of persuasion (and a bit of luck) the shaft comes out of the middle of the rotor, then pull the fan, still with the shaft attached, out the front.
If it’s only the one screw head that you need to get access to to remove the heater, drill a hole through the aluminium fan big enough to get your screwdriver through (and one opposite to maintain the the balance)
Good luck

Had a few of these baked in screws plus on various other makes, the only option is to drill them out as Gertrude says. Good luck.

Oh joy!!!!!!!!!!!
I find an old chisel does the job nicely. Just knock a notch in the screw head, then using hammer and chisel hit the bastard in anti clock direction. Obviously taking care not to tw@t the liner 😉 .
The beauty is you only need do it on the bottom two screws, once they’re out just pull the panel towards you and the top two will come out no problem.
As for the fan, if you grip the shaft with pump pliers or similar then spin the blade this should free it off. If not some heat from blow lamp works a treat.
Don’t be tempted to drill the fan blade, causes loads of bother 🙁 .BTW the newer models have torx head screws instead of posi, much better idea.
