Been to UKW job for no heat fault about a month ago. Replaced 264877 module which worked fine. Called back to no power dishwasher tripped RCD. Tracks blown off board in bottom right corner with transistor exploded on far RHS. Checked for shorts Fitted new board washed ok then pop. Turns out dispenser solenoid although reading 2.5K goes short when 240 applied. Has anybody had this and would i have to cover new board cost (cust will pay for dispenser) because i fitted it?

OK will replace/repair at my cost. Also if anyone sees blown tracks on one of these modules beware of solenoid. It is more like a fridge relay type than the conventional inlet valve coil.

    Many thanks

I had the same problem last October on an SGS43E08GB/43. The IC Chip had cooked as a result of the darned dispenser solenoid. It cost me a new Module to realise this so I think in future the ‘rule of thumb’ on any BSH dishwasher with blown chips, tracks or transistors is to replace that solenoid as a matter of course 😉

Since the lid is worn etc does 263088 give me the complete dispenser or are solenoids lids seperate?

263088 is a complete dispenser but you can buy the lid (166621) and the solenoid (166635) on their own also..

There was a spate of these a few years back, however I’ve not had the problem for a while now.
