    Just installed a miele dishwasher
    customer told by john Lewis salesman ,Cold hose most not be connected
    downwood, because aquastop flood device would not work,
    told user he is wrong, IT would be in the instellation book . which it is not.
    User phoned Miele when I was there and guess what i spoke to them and they said the same.
    I have installed alot of machines without checking if the connection was vertical or not, and why only meile and not any with anti flood valve.

    Never heard of this either & we are Miele service agents, i know that the aqua-stop device is made up of 2 soleniods valves in series, if something like grit sticks in one other solenoid should close off etc. I would have thought that water pressure should travel through hose whether it is upside down or not!

    Next time you speak to technical help, if they have such a thing, could you ask,
    Maybe information has been passed down the line and has been distorted.
