Sirs I Have a Diplomat dishwasher model ADP8221 which is not heating the water. Can you tell me where’s the best place to order a new element,
and the cost please. Is it worth repairing as it was bought in Feb 2000.

    Regards B.Taylor.

    Re: dishwasher element

Have you actually tested the element ? Could be reset stat, wiring, controls etc.

If you can confirm the element is faulty then an e-mail to spares@ukwhitegoods.co.uk should get things moving.

Plug out at all times when working on the patient. :zap:

    Re: dishwasher element

The heater is £40.19 inc VAT and carriage which I can get if required, just send an email to the address Iadom posted 🙂

But as mentioned, are you sure it’s failed ?

Your other thread asking how to fit it I have deleted as it is relevent to this topic. Basically we can’t tell you exactly how to do this for legal and safety reasons so if you’re unsure I would ask an engineer to be honest, try the repairs@ link below 🙂

    Re: dishwasher element

Have a look at the element. Can you see any splits, blisters or ‘pops’ where the outer sheath of the element has burst open? Can you feel any areas where the element is obviously swollen? !!best unplug the dishwasher before you do this!! If yes to any of the above then the element needs replacing.
