I know it is like asking how long is a piece of string but how much do clothes actually weigh?

My machine says it will take 6kg of laundry. Does this mean a dry load? How muc does an average bath towel weigh, or a pair of jeans? Am I overloading it by putting 4 bathtowels in, even though the drum is not crammed?

    Are there any guidelines anywhere??

Load is always dry weight. Rough guide is to leave a hand spans width at the top of the drum – you won’t go too far wrong.
