    Hi all,

    I’m new to the forum so go easy on me!

    I have a Zanussi FLS 1183W washing machine which is about 4 years old and seems to be possessed! It was running fine in the middle of a cycle when the electric in the house tripped. When switching the machine back on again it wouldn’t complete the wash cycle but allowed me to remove the clothing. However now when trying to wash anything the power light comes on and water goes into the washing machine but the timer knob just spins around slowly on its own and then stops and the power goes off.

    Have had a search through the forums and ‘googled’ it and it seems that the machine may need resetting but how? There’s also a chap on ebay who describes the problem and is selling a new timer knob for the machine.

    Any advice/help would be appreciated.

    The part on ebay I would imagine would cure the timer knob if the teeth of the assembly had gone and then yes it would spin, but only when you tried to select a programme. I would seek an engineer from the link below.
