Baumatic Washer/Dryer help wanted.

I have a Baumatic 800/1000 spin washer/dryer Model/serial no. EL1197J5 (I think).
It has two faults that may be related.
First is the dryer. Sometimes during its drying cycle it will draw in water I cannot seem to find any logical pattern or reason to do this. There are two positions for drying. The fault occurs at each position but not nessaccarily at the same time. I.E. If the fault happens at on position, I can change it to the other position & it will work O.K. & vise versa.

The second fault is the washing. there are three cycles I can use.
Sometimes the cycle will go so far then stop. It makes a strange rummbling/gurgling sound (but no water empties) It does not spin either for a minute or two then continues to the end of its cycle. When the door is opened, the clothes are still soaking. I can reset it to a spin, & it will spin the clothes out dry. Why wont it do thid during its cycle?
