Hoover or Hotpoint. I won’t state my choice yet, but I definitely have one. Imagine you had no other choice, it was either Hoover or Hotpoint. Which would you pick?

……… Hotpoint travel the M1 daily whereas Hoover on the other hand use the M6 and you live too far away from the M6 to get anything that falls of their lorries :rotfl:

But would it be a Hoover stick or a Hotpoint stick?
I’d rather have the Hoover, because I hate Herloni; but my brother did work for Herloni, so he could always advice me on fault codes and likely problems (with the stick) 😉

When faced with this nightmare scenario I would choose the Hotpoint. In fact not a difficult decision to make based on my knowing the Hotpoint is another rung or two up the ladder than Hoover. So, I know you once had a Hoover Andy (with a constant door boot problem as I recall?) Therefore I recon you would steer clear of the ‘candymans sweetie tin’ and go for a ‘spaghetti storage jar hotpoint’…….correct? 😉

To be honest, I always found Hoover better than Hotpoint. These days it’s more Candy V Indesit, but even the consumers group Which? still, occasionally feature Candy in their best buys, which always did dumbfound me. In fact it was one of the reasons i stopped subscribing to Which? in the early 80s when I couldn’t believe they were worth recmmending.
Personally I still think Hoover are better.

IMHO the Hoover would be more reliable, but the Hotpoint would be easier and cheaper to repair?
Now tell me why I’m wrong 😛
Of course, they are both rubbish. It’s like a question I had to answer during some Christmas board game…

LOL. That’s way too easy Goatboy. The point of this one is it’s a tough call, and sometimes, pricewise I find myself having to recommend Hoover or Hotpoint and it’s always Hoover. Maybe I am too sentimental about Hoover having repaired them since the beginning, when I was but a lad.
Lots of small testicles ey? I’m sure I could find a use for ’em somewhere.
They aren’t a bad band btw – The test-icles. Who’s have thought a thread about Hoover or Hotpoint would end up here?
