ParticipantHi all,
I am having a problem with the TDC30P, It would only run for a few minutes then stop. I assumed (before reading this forum…silly me!!! 😳 ) it was the thermostats and fitted new “green spot” set .
However I had also taken off the front panel and removed the wiring off the Heat Select Hi Lo Switch, and the Start switch, now I dont remember which wires go where??? 😕 (I should have taken a photo like I done when I changed the thermostats) The wire colours are as follows…. There is a single red, and a red and brown, which appear to lead to the relay, then there are Two Grey/Blue wires which go down to the bottom of the machine where a straight connector block changes them to Light Blue and Dark Blue, from there they both plug straight to the into to the opposite ends of the 106 deg thermo where the dark blue also has a brown on the spade connector. After a bit of trial and error and a few mains trip outs 😯 , I have connected the two GREY/Blue to the Start Switch, and the other two to the Hi Low switch, now the machine runs for about 10 seconds, then stops for 15 min and so on……….I assume its the Relay???? Is the wiring correct? any suggestions would be helpful before I move onto my dishwasher, an Indesit DG6145…. 😡 ….. which appears to suffer a few problems that I think only a SKIP may be the answer. Many thanks in advance.July 14, 2006 at 10:22 pm #181924iadom

I can only suggest you stop now and get someone in who actually knows what they are doing, trial and error with wiring is the surest way to make things much worse and possibly damage other components. wiring diagrams are copyright and as such are not easily available.
Why don’t you try our Repairs@ section, who knows you may find somone local who can sort the dishwasher at the same time, when you are in a hole “stop digging” 😉

I know its not a great idea to use trial and error, but I had no alternative, I could not afford an engineer to call out, especially when so much info is available on this forum, the way I see it the machine was knackered so what did I have to loose. The machine is working the best now.
