Customer rang to say machine would not spin, and knob was clicking round. I asked him to count flashes and he reported 4, supposed p/switch fault. 🙄

Went this morning with new p/switch. Before I even took the lid off I tried to run the machine to check on the error code. Set on wash, the machine filled perfectly then I heard a buzzing/humming sound like a siezed motor for a couple of seconds, followed by a click that sounded like an overload or relay tripping. The machine then sat there, no motor action, no clicking timer, mains neon rock steady. I turned the timer knob to reset then selected spin. The machine then drained and went into spin 😕

I did fit the new pressure switch but it made no difference, it did exactly the same, I could not get it to go into error mode no matter what I tried.

Machine is fairly new and lightly used, motor looks perfect and the drum spins freely.

No visual problems on the module, tightened contacts without any success.

Module is now on the way to EMW for testing.

    Any other suggestions ❓

Oh dear!, I’ve had this problem back in March (same model) Sometimes the motor would just hum and the relay click as you describe. I got an exchange module from EMW, plugged it in after checking and squeezing the connector blocks, still the same 😯

Like yours the motor seemed perfect but I changed the brushes just the same. Sometimes worked perfect, other times just hums to itself and NO ERROR CODE either 🙄

After 2 hours of messing about I threw the towel in the ring and returned the module to EMW.

Sorry mate, fat lot of help I am on this one, but I thought I would share your frustration in order to ease your pain 8)

I would love to know the answer, and I suspect only a NEW MOTOR will be the answer? 😀

I did hear that even brushes showing little sign of wear on these can still be faulty, strange how it spins perfectly. B****y heap of junk, I feel like doing a ‘Zidane’ on these machines. 😆

At least I know I am not alone if this one goes belly up. At a very rough estimate I would say that I am out of pocket on at least 25{e5d1b7155a01ef1f3b9c9968eaba33524ee81600d00d4be2b4d93ac2e58cec2d} of calls on these horrid Italian tin cans. 😥
