Looking at the posting, was this from Repairs@ ?? If so, are we in demand again.
Assume the contact was from this site?

KeymasterYes, I have mailed Capital asking them to respond in some way.
They’ve had LOADS of repairs and that’s the only mump we’ve had. No no-contact, no-no turn ups… nadda. So onthe whole they seem to do a decent job.

Hey guys get a grip, the engineer called friday sometime in the morning and probably had a full days work. you might get your guys to phone in for parts prices after each and every job but I certanly dont.
The engineer was probably off on saturday so the guy at the shop might not have been able to get hold of him for clarification of exactly what part was required.
This customer was pissed off at being charged a call out fee for a fault he was unable to diagnose himself is all and that is what the real complaint is about. Wouldn’t surprise me if this complainant isn’t just posturing before he stops the cheque.
I feel that this post should be removed from the site until both sides of the story have been heard as it damages the reputation of one of our members who has not had the chance to repond. The complaint should have been sent to the repairs@ feedback holding forum, until such time as our meber has had chance to respond to what is a dubious complaint at best

KeymasterCan’t remove it Sean, there’s rules.
It sounds like a simple communications breakdown, it happens and I think the guy’s being unreasonable as well but without the other side of the story there’s not much to be done as yet.

Is it possible for us to have a complaints holding forum or instructions to complainants to contact site admin if they have a complaint with the message that all complaints will be investigated and responded to in private
As I really do not like the tried, sentenced, and convicted without response system we seem to have at the moment.

KeymasterNope, that’s the point of free speech Sean, you get to speak freely. Whether other people, including us, agree or disagree with the post is entirely irrelevant.
Sorry but you can’t just have free speech when it suits and cover up anything you don’t like aired. Whether you call it holding or whatever it’s still censorship of that person’s freedom to voice their opinion.
It is up to us, but primarily the company in question, to answer the complaint, not censor it.

Hi Ken
So I take it Capital Repairs is off the repairs@ listing pending outcome of this?Greg

KeymasterNo, with one complaint with which there’s no result on I don’t think that that would be very fair. Especially given teh volume of calls that they do where there’s no complaint.
