    Hi – this machine seem’s to be a problem. I’ve changed both timer and pcb but it still does the same thing — when on G (spin) it starts to tumble a few times then advances on til it gets between Q and R then stops dead.

    Mostly tacho magnet or coil; loose or misaligned.
    But I did have one Zanussi 1200 spin (very similar machine) do this a while back and it turned out to be a shorting armature; not bad enough to pop the mains RCD, but the timer just didn’t like it!!! 🙄
