the wife knows a bit of german so she may be able
to translate. there was a push button switch on two wires near
the mains terminals, pressed it but made no difference.
(not sure what it was for)
thanks for reply…..July 21, 2006 at 9:15 pm #182641Penguin45

try following the wiring dia, if you have one, where there is an inline thermal cut out incorporated in these models, these go o/c when oven overheats.
usually linked in with selector/timer, or selector/stat.
should be located in the chassis cavity in the front of the oven.

thanks for the manual Chris, unfortunately the mrs or myself could not
get to grips with the german !
i had the oven out of its housing with the top and back panel off.
there was a thermal fuse at the back of the lower small oven which
is still working, but i could not locate one for the main fan oven.
two cut outs were screwed to the top of the oven (both o/c) these looked like they were for the cooling fan but i could be wrong.
the trouble is having looked at it already i dont want to drag it out again unless i have some idea what im looking for, if i take the side panels off
is this how you get to the thermal fuse located at the front ?
thanks for your help Chris & Tell…

you go in from the top. its located at the front of the chassis just above door. the wiring to it is different to the main harness, it’s usually of the old type braided insulation on the cut out wire, and it has wind around stripe. blue or red.
hope that helps.
